I have long been wanting to do a concertante piece for Native American Flute and some ensemble. My interests in the NAF has already led to my CD FluteCore. However, that uses synthesized backing. So here is a fully acoustic orchestral piece with NAF solo.

While these videos have the solo played on a high E NAF, but it is also playable a soprano recorder (range e’-g’'). You could even play it on a concert flute, perhaps an octave up from written.

The score for sale at Tablatur comes with two versions of the backing:

• recorders AATTBBGG, and
• Strings: 3 violins, 2 violas, 3 cellos, one double bass.
