Passacaglia (2015)

Passacaglia

After I arranged Bach’s Chaconne, I briefly toyed with the idea of also arranging his organ Passacaglia. But it seemed more fun to write my own. The only nod to Bach here is the key of C minor.

This is scored for six recorders SATBGC. The greatbass is somewhat challenging since the passacaglia theme spans a full two octaves from high C to low C.
