So many dance teachers use words like "pivot", "give weight", and "lean back" to mean various _different_ things that involve complex physics (or geometry) that it is no surprise that beginners don't understand. It would be great to have a book that shows how the man's wrist is strained if the woman drifts out of position and leans back in a turn. Or why it's wrong for a taller partner to hunch over a shorter partner, or for a shorter partner to lean back and tilt her head back to look up at a taller partner (and the ceiling)... How about a chapter on how to dance without causing pain or injury? Defensive dancing on floors with no spring. How shoes with grippy soles stress knees and hips and make turns sluggish, and pivots impossible...
