There are few books that explain music theory aimed at dancers -- that is why I wrote this course. However, the following books were of use to me. Note that although many interesting dance books are out of print, you can often find them through through www.bookfinder.com, or Amazon

• Dance Terminology Handbook by Skippy Blair. ISBN 0-932980-11-2
• Disco to Tango and Back by Skippy Blair. ISBN 0-932980-015.
• How to become a good dancer, by Arthur Murray. Simon and Schuster, 1938; various editions. This book is out of print, but readily available used; let Amazon find it for you.
• New Grove Dictionary of Jazz.
